Dear Felicia,

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible generosity, care, & heart you continue to pour into young people through Black Girls in Blazers.

I was deeply touched when you surprised us by coming directly to our campus with dresses, shoes, & accessories for the girls. When the office told me you were on site setting everything up, I was honestly in awe. The level of dedication & love behind that gesture means so much.

This was the second year that many of our senior girls were able to receive prom dresses through your organization, & the impact reaches so much farther than clothing alone. Last year when I was able to accompany some of the girls, I witnessed firsthand the thoughtfulness, patience, encouragement, & intentionality that you & your team offered each student. It was clear that every girl was being cared for in a way that helped her feel seen, celebrated, confident, & beautiful.

Our students carry so much responsibility, transition, & challenge in their daily lives, & experiences like this give them an opportunity to simply feel special, glamorous, joyful, & cared for. That is such a gift. The memories & confidence you help create will stay with them long after prom night has passed.
